The work
What actually happens

Measure
Every roofline gets measured on site. Length, pitch, fascia condition, downspout placement and the existing drainage path all change the specification, so a number quoted over the phone is a guess.

Specify
Profile, size, gauge and color are chosen together. Five-inch K-style gutters with 2×3 downspouts are Mountain Top’s primary system and the size used on most of its gutter jobs. Six-inch gutters with 3×4 downspouts are available when a wide or steep roof, concentrated valley or unusually heavy runoff calls for more capacity.

Form on site
The coil is run through a forming machine on the driveway and comes out as one continuous length. Because the run is made to fit, there are no mid-span seams — and seams are where gutters normally start to fail.

Hang and finish
Runs are hung to a deliberate slope so water actually reaches the downspouts, fixed with hidden hangers rather than face nails, and the downspouts are routed to discharge away from the foundation.

Every home and scope is different. The final price depends on the measurements, material choices, access and the condition of the existing system. These are the factors Mountain Top reviews during the estimate.
Estimates are free. You receive a written specification and fixed quote before work begins; the price changes only if a genuinely hidden condition appears that could not have been seen beforehand.

- Single-story or two-story access
- Five-inch or six-inch profile
- Material gauge — heavier aluminum costs more and dents less
- Number and size of downspouts
- Whether gutter guards are included
- Condition of the fascia behind the existing gutter
- Roof type and access difficulty — tile and steep pitches take longer
- Color availability, and whether a color is stock or special order
Around here specifically
What the desert does differently
Desert rainfall is not gentle. A large share of the annual total arrives in a handful of monsoon storms, which means gutters here are planned for short, intense bursts rather than steady rain. Properly placed five-inch gutters are used on most Mountain Top jobs. Wider or steeper rooflines and concentrated valleys may call for larger downspouts or a six-inch system.
