Exterior trim installation and repair
The finished metal and exterior details that protect vulnerable edges while giving the roofline a clean, consistent appearance.
Free on-site measure. A number quoted over the phone is a guess.

You probably want this if…
- Painted roof-edge boards need repeated maintenance
- Corners and transitions look unfinished or have opened up
- You want trim, soffit, fascia and gutters to read as one system
- Existing trim is loose, dented, faded or allowing moisture behind it
The work
What actually happens
01
Inspect every edge
Trim problems often start at a corner, lap, fastener or transition. The first step is tracing the complete run rather than covering the most visible symptom.
02
Repair what is behind it
Metal trim is a protective finish, not a substitute for sound backing. Soft wood, loose sheathing or active water entry has to be corrected before new material goes on.
03
Form and fit the details
Pieces are measured and formed for the actual edge so laps, corners and returns shed water cleanly and look deliberate from the ground.
04
Coordinate the roofline
Color, profile and transitions are considered with the fascia, soffit and gutter so the completed exterior looks like one system rather than unrelated repairs.
Planning the estimate
What shapes the price
Every home and scope is different. The final price depends on the measurements, material choices, access and the condition of the existing system. These are the factors Mountain Top reviews during the estimate.
Estimates are free. You receive a written specification and fixed quote before work begins; the price changes only if a genuinely hidden condition appears that could not have been seen beforehand.
- Linear footage and number of corners
- Existing damage behind the trim
- Material, finish and color
- Height, roof pitch and access
- Whether fascia, soffit or gutters must be removed
Around here specifically
What the desert does differently
Strong sun, wind-driven grit and rapid temperature changes punish exposed paint, sealants and loose edges. Durable trim work here depends as much on clean laps and secure backing as it does on the finish you see.

Warranty on this work
Mountain Top labor
Three-year labor warranty on installed work
Full written coverage, exclusions, transferability and claim steps are confirmed with the quote. Manufacturer warranties are separate and vary by the exact product selected.
